Coastal Fire Centre weekly Status Report June 30 - July 6, 2022

Please find attached the Coastal Fire Centre weekly Status Report for June 30 – July 6, 2022.  The cool temperatures and wet weather has returned, reducing the risk of wildfires in most areas of the Coastal Fire Centre area.  We are expecting a warming and drying trend starting on Saturday until Tuesday, then a possibility of ridge breakdown and lightning on Tuesday.

There are currently no open burning prohibitions although those wishing to use open fire should check with their local government for burn bylaws. 

We continue to ask everyone to use caution and best practices when using open fire in our forests and stay alert to changing local weather conditions.  Thank you!
